The sub-committe to explore organizational options for St. Mary of Magdala Church, led the whole community in a session of sharing at the recent BBQ. Each person had an opportunity to speak to what gifts they believe they bring to the community, but the primary role of each community member that morning was to "listen from the heart" as each member spoke. We then discussed what we had heard. The results was compiled and will be used by the committee to formulate its recommendations to the whole community. The committee expects to present those recommendations to the whole community in September.
Summer Parking: During the Summer season anyone attending Mass on Sundays is asked to please park in the paved public lot at Allen Harbor (the lot to the west of the harbor) and walk over to the chapel. We do not have Parking in Evensong's lot is taken up by guests at Allen Harbor Breeze Inn & Gardens. Please Note: there are a few spots at the North end of our parking lot for use by anyone who needs to park closer. (Please note: we do not have permission to park in the unpaved parking lot to the east of Allen Harbor - it belongs to Allen Harbor Yacht Club.)
Commissioning Liturgical Ministers: For the past few weeks we've been commissioning community members who minister in a variety of ways: altar servers, lectors, eucharistic ministers, music ministers, and hospitality ministers! Thanks to all who offer their time and talents!
NEW HYMNALS ARE IN! The additional copies of our Gather Comprehensive hymnals have arrived - that means we now have enough hymnals for everyone to have their own copy at Mass. (Yes, the days of three people to one hymnal are over!) Many thanks to all who donated hymnals in memory of or in honor of loved ones!
